About this work
This artwork is intended to enable the observer to explore death and rebirth, be it literal or figurative. Like the sun, dying and being reborn each day, the phoenix possesses a force strong enough to resurrect from those that passed long before. Her wings attract butterflies, the symbol of rebirth.
